…How it all began

Our network was founded in 2000 by a group of compassionate individuals who witnessed the potential impact we could have on children and families. As we opened our first clinics in Arizona, we were deeply troubled to hear of the many families who were compelled to receive dental care at archaic facilities whose decisions centered around the bottom line and profit margins.

We believed then and still do today that every kid, regardless of family income, deserves quality, patient-centered dentistry in a fun, upbeat environment. This philosophy grew into a plan for growth over the past almost two decades and we have had some smart team members who helped us figure out how to achieve growth while staying true to our core values. There have been many decisions over the years: where to grow, what the right way to grow is, what processes to use, and how to get better at serving the families we are lucky to call patients.

with 41 offices (24 dental and 17 orthodontics), we are one of the countries largest Medicaid dental provider networks. In 2018 we had almost 160,000 dental patient and orthodontic visits.

However, our daily mission is not about growth or the scale of the organization – growth is just a byproduct of our core purpose, values and our relentless goodwill to do everything we can for the children we strive to serve. We always return to our core purpose, remembering each one of us has unique gifts and talents we employ in our service to others. It is in this sharing of spirit that we reach the ultimate goal of realizing our common bonds as we take the next step together toward our future.
